Our prediction: 2018’s upcoming wedding trends

We’ve done the research so you don’t have to; here are some of the top wedding trends to consider for 2018:

  1. Living bars: As crazy as this sounds, this will be all the rage next year. Fresh foliage mixed with latticework or a laser cut wooden veneer is the new way to spice up the drinks section of your celebration.
  2. Using potted plants as aisle decor: We love the seamless, natural look of actual plant pots dotted along the aisle, as opposed to the traditional way of incorporating flowers into the ceremony decor. Wrapping the pots with a soft silk fabric emphasizes the natural, effortless look you’re going for.
  3. Smaller wedding parties are set to take centre stage: Instead of 6 or 7 bridesmaids, brides are predicted to opt for one or two, with a maid of honor in the mix too.
  4. The focus is on the after-party: Couples will be spending more time, money and effort on making the after-party one to remember. While the reception will always be fun and exciting, couples are focusing on the late-night part of the evening even more. With midnight snacks as a catering option, to changing into a lighter and more casual wedding outfit and even moving locations entirely!
  5. Texture, texture, texture: From laser cut illusion reception linen in white and neutral tones, to dark and textured florals and marble dance floors, 2018 is all about texture creating drama.

We can’t wait to watch these trends come into play this year!
